Home LEARNING Funny Things Kids Say Double Edged Swords

Last Sunday, I was just being 'corrected' of how Jesus looks like in the book of Revelation - the last chapter of New Testament in The Bible. One of the features I remembered vividly was what that came out from his mouth - a sharp double-edged sword!
As quoted from Revelation 1:16
In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

And a famous proverb claimed “The pen is mightier than the sword”.

Combining both, it somehow connects to me with what Austin had recently ‘invented’ - double edged color pencils. I bet you have seen this before. Not one, neither two, there are plenty of double edged color pencils that the little guy ‘produced’ lately. The best part of this journey that Austin took us through was his justification (or in my term - excuse) for turning these color pencils into the double edged 'swords'.

Dad: Austin, why do you sharpen both ends of your color pencils?
Austin: So that I can use (the other side) when one (side) is blunt.
               Dad: ?

Tell me, how would you response?
