Home TRAVELING Outing Free Indoor Play & Learn | Raja Tun Uda Shah Alam Library

If you are thinking of a free place to spend a day in Klang Valley without the worries of sun or rain, then Raja Tun Uda Shah Alam Library is certainly a brilliant choice for a pack of kids. Fondly known as the Creative Zone, it is actually the children's library of Perpustakaan Raja Tun Uda in Shah Alam.
Located in Section 13 of Shah Alam township, Raja Tun Uda Library is just a stone throw from Sultan Abdul Aziz Golf Club, hence gives its nickname 'the library in a park'. Indeed, it is once you walk into the Creative Zone that sits on ground floor on the right hand corner if one enters from the main door. There is a man-made banyan tree that provides lovely crevices for kids to lean on, getting preoccupied with books as time passing. Else, one can lay on the slope of the 'meadow', like the comfort of home. Not enough, then pick a bean bag to relax while reading.
Carpeted, thus it is neat and clean even perfect for toddlers and babies who have just started learning how to crawl. Also featured at this children's library is a stage, dedicated to performances and story telling, in addition to internet access and TV screening as well.
Personally, the most intriguing feature is i-step. An interaction image flashed on the floor, it also fascinated Austin. As he tried to figure out how to kick tones of rugby balls on the floor, he also made friend with an acquaintance. Soon after, these two boys found an interesting game, by chasing each other and kicking the balls at the same time.
For foods, one can grab quick bite at Raja Tun Uda Shah Alam Library's cafeteria. An open deck, it is a sheltered outdoor overlooking a serene lake and the iconic Shah Alam State Mosque. Besides Tutti Fruiti, there are some options of local variety. However, if your kids are on disciplined diet, I'd recommend you to bring along some foods as if going for picnic. We explored the foods at the opposite golf club however this golfer's deck is below our expectation speaking of their service. Food is just average, like any of the typical hotel food. Nothing much to shout about.

For parents that are fit, there are gymnasiums to sweat while your children are busy, exploring the world of knowledge in Creative Zone. If not, there are 3-D theater and 6-D theater to relax and unwind. Free wifi access is your privilege. Beyond ground floor, children below 10 years old are not allowed. Yet, big kids (adults) are welcome!!
