Home LEARNING Baking & Cooking Little Chef of Monkey Year

Steamboat (a food actually!) or better described as hot pot is famous reunion icon for Chinese ethnic in South East Asia who observe Lunar New Year or Spring Festival. A pot of stock soup that can be prepared in advance from slices of jicama, onions and pork ribs, this dish is pretty easy when it comes to preparation. Not much heavy cooking is required.

Once they well cooked, it is ready to picked up and consumed according to one's liking.

This year, we were lucky to have a little chef to assist in the prep at our kitchen. From chopping carrot, breaking broccoli floret to peeling onions, the little hands were eager to play and toy with these brilliant vegetables.
