Home LIVING Health & Fitness News | Dengue Vaccination For Kids in Malaysia?

This morning, I took Austin for his scheduled shot at the government clinic. And I spotted Dengue vaccination program at the registration counter. New to my knowledge, Dengue vaccination sounds like a fresh jab out from the lab!
Dengue Vaccination Clinical Trial in Malaysia
English Translation:
To whom may be interested to obtain dengue vaccination for (kids) aged between 2 to 14 years old, please see JM Norwiyah (@ KK Sg Dua) or call clinic 04-6422201 (This service will cease by December 2011)

I probed a nurse at the clinic. She told me the vaccination is free for kids between 2 to 14 years old. Leave your name/contacts, and the rest of the procedure will be arranged by Penang General Hospital.

Malaysia is a small country on tropic belt but it reported one of the highest dengue incidents in Asia.

Apparently, Malaysia Health Ministry is partnering with Sanofi Pasteur to run a clinical study of a tetravalent dengue vaccine in healthy children between aged 2 to 11 years old.

Hence, this explains what I encountered this morning.
